Maine Venture Fund is excited to announce the addition of North Spore to our portfolio.
North Spore, led by CEO Ben Chesler and Co-founders Eliah Thanhauser, Matt McInnis and Jon Carver, was founded in 2014 and is a one-stop shop for all things mushroom, specializing in cultivation supplies, education, and wellness products. From their vertically integrated facility in Portland, they offer premium, organic mushroom grow kits, spawn, sterile substrates, a full line of mushroom wellness products and growing supplies for both home and commercial growers. They strive to make the world of mushrooms accessible to all.
This fundraise will support North Spore’s next phase of growth and allow for investments in marketing, a retail launch, and further building out their team.
