Management Team Promotion

MVF is excited to announce the promotion of Nina Scheepers to Managing Director, effective as of July 1, 2026. Nina’s growth over the last five years since joining MVF has been extraordinary. Her natural instincts, careful attention to detail and self-directed approach to furthering the reach and impact of Maine Venture Fund is truly inspiring. 

Nina is now co-managing the Fund alongside Joe Powers with a specific focus on Maine’s “heritage” industries of fishing, farming, and forestry. With the recent $20M EDA Tech Hub award to the University of Maine for boosting the state’s forestry sector, Nina will play a critical role in MVF’s support of that work, among her many ongoing responsibilities.
